Wishing you all the very best with this book, Robert. Your first book THE TEN THOUSAND THINGS was certainly a very big turning point in my own 'spiritual quest'. Looking forward to another fascinating read.
I’m enjoying the book immensely. The clarification Claude brings to your work is what I’m enjoying so far. Hearing your philosophy on life from another angle is helpful to me.
I’m really enjoying the book so far, I’m up to Chapter 3.
Claude’s lack of memory and reset at each new conversation reminds of the Zen Buddhist call to: ‘Begin again’ and raises interesting questions about the utility of memory in certain aspects of societal life and it’s complete irrelevance in other, shall we say, contemplative/ purely experiential, modes.
"What does it mean for a non-biological system to be aware? How can we meaningfully compare human and artificial intelligence when their underlying architectures are so fundamentally different?"
(from the intro to your book)
My orientation towards self-awareness is predominately feeling-sense, non-conceptual, less intellectual. AI seems all intellectual. Is it live or is it Memorex?
Just started the book bro - and already it's proving fascinating...
In this post, the AI's use of "palpable" and in the book so far its use of phrases such as "looking forward to..." (among other examples that my own shortcomings in memory have temporarily rendered unaccessible until refreshed!) make me think "sentience".
... simplemente genial.
Hi Robert, I'm in Australia and I cannot buy either the paperback or Kindle versions on Amazon. I'm getting the message that they are not available to be delivered to my destination. Will this be changing anytime soon?
Hi Robert, I heard back from your publisher and the fault was at my end. It can be confusing as we first have to exit out of amazon.com and go into amazon.com.au and then do a search for the title and make sure we are purchasing it on the AU site, otherwise it just goes round in a loop saying it is not available. But confirming, as others have, that both kindle and paperback can be bought in Australia.

Thank you, Mark. That is a happy message.
I cannot wait to read it, Robert! What a beautiful and exciting review. Wow!

Congratulations, Robert. A very creative idea you had here.

Sí. A medida que el mundo gira, estamos llamados a revisar nuestra comprensión de lo que es la inteligencia y lo que significa ser un "alguien."

I will alert the publisher.
The publisher said the book is on sale on Australia Amazon but that they are picky about addresses/territories. If you write to them, they will help.

Thanks Robert, it worked this time🥰. Eager to read it
Yeah, any news on Australian availability would be appreciated here too!

I didn’t have any trouble purchasing on Kindle and I’m also in Australia.
