Thanks again Robert. I am re-minded (again. How many times does it take?)

Sorry, one more. I’ve been meaning to tell you that a friend who is now effectively incarcerated for life has been deeply affected by your books which I turned him on to. It has helped him immensely as he faces a very different experience. Grateful for your work.

U.G. used to say that he could not be put into any framework, try as they will. I think the same is true of you Robert.

MUSING ...

Ever since The Ten Thousand Things, I never thought your books were "spiritual classics", (thank goodness) ...rather they ultimately defy category, whilst simultaneously touching on various categories.

With all your incomparable writings, I've often noticed that there's a remarkable, yet natural and effortless consistency of expression, without one iota of even a whif of pedestal mentality.

Not meaning to sound obscure, but your writing has a kind of expression where nothing sticks.

For me, more like "Rootless Wisdom."

I know I will continue to read and revisit your work, if only for the sheer enjoyment of clarity, honesty, and sanity I recognise.

One of the most subtle things I have noticed is when rereading your writings, to my mind it's always as though a fresh experience. I guess that the nature of impermanence with the mind.

In my practice of non religious nondual animism via decolonial studies, daoism & dzogchen, I’ve experienced and encountered similar. I think its okay to be labeled “nondual”… it’s probably the only way the delusions of our culture can describe such plain, alive, sanity.

I don't want that label anywhere near my work, darius. Use it if you like, but don't stick it on me.

The problem is not the core observation—that subject and object are not ultimately separate—but what’s been built atop it. Nonduality today is a sales pitch, a pose, a performance. It rewards fluent repetition of nonsense, punishes ambiguity, and treats doubt or disagreement as a failure of realization rather than a mark of honesty.

Teachers of questionable intellect parrot slogans and call that bullshit "truth."
